Max Frintrop is a Dusseldorf, Germany-based abstract painter and sculptor.  He received his BFA and MFA from the Art Academy, Dusseldorf.  Frintrop’s paintings and sculptures explore the effects of spatial relationships of varying colors and forms. His bold, heavy brush strokes transform flat areas into volumes which make way for new interpretations. As he develops three dimensional spaces through painting, Frintrop creates unexpected juxtapositions between flat figures and the surface.
